About the Journal

The Turkish Journal of Traumatic Stress (TJTS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing the understanding of psychological trauma and its effects on individuals, communities, and societies. We aim to provide a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research, clinical practices, and theoretical insights in the field of traumatic stress.

Our journal welcomes contributions from diverse fields such as psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience, social work, and public health, with a special focus on the unique cultural, societal, and environmental factors that shape the experience of trauma. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, we seek to bridge the gap between research and practice, promoting evidence-based interventions that address the short- and long-term impacts of trauma on mental health.

We are committed to encouraging submissions from both early-career and established researchers and practitioners globally, with a particular emphasis on studies and interventions relevant to the Turkish and surrounding regions. Our goal is to contribute to the global body of knowledge on trauma, with an eye toward culturally sensitive approaches and innovative methodologies.

The Turkish Journal of Traumatic Stress publishes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and expert commentaries. We uphold rigorous ethical standards, ensuring that all research involving human subjects complies with internationally recognized ethical guidelines.

Join us in our mission to improve the lives of those affected by traumatic stress and to foster resilience in the face of adversity.
